Exhausts On Corsas

Choices choices, which one to buy? Everyone has different opionions on them Prices range from £60-£250 for a rear box, and between £150 and £400 for a CAT back system.
So many to choose from. There are quite a few different styles of tailpipes to choose from. I have got a Magnex 6x4 rear box at the moment, although i got some new plans. Donna has a CAT back Powerflow jobbie with center exit exhaust. Tailpipe are two 4" inwardly rolled jobbies. Below is a few examples of different tailpipes on corsas with a brief bit about each.

Magnex: The goold old 6x4. Luckily D4MO B was the first Corsa on the road to get one of these beasts. Look great i think and produces a nice deep drone when the engine revs are dropping. Stainless steel and a very good reputation for exhausts. Magnex do the 6x4 and 3" inwardly rolled for Corsas!

Peco: Arrrgggghhh, I can't stand Peco exhausts, but each to their own and they are very popular due to the cheap price. The picture shows the stainless range they do, which is more expensive. Some like the sound they make, but I don't like them. Most of the exhausts are made of mild steel and seem very much to be a favourite to the "boy racer" as they offer a sporty look at a cheap price.

As well as the CAT back systems, Manifolds can also play a MAJOR part in any modified angines power output! Getting the right manifold and getting the engine tuned to match it is very important. There are various manifolds arounds, most commen being PMC, Lexmal and Mantzel!!
Custom Jobbies: More and more people are going for custom exhaust systems now. Mainly because everyone likes to be different and lots of cars have the same exhausts. Im going for a custom job soon as well. Probably the best place to go in the UK is Powerflow ( www.powerflow.uk.com ) They done the work on D4MO B and D5NNA, and they can make any exhaust of your design in just a few hours. Makes the car much more individual.
